Indigenous People

Rahamim is committed to the process of reconciliation and appreciates the relationship of the original inhabitants, the Wiradjuri people, with the land of the Bathurst area, as well as the history of Aboriginal and white relationships from the time of settlement to the present. Rahamim is represented on the NSW Aboriginal Women/Mercy Sisters Network and holds in trust the Mercy Message Stick handled by all Sisters of Mercy around Australia, as they made a conscious attempt to address racism in their own lives.
