Ingredients

  • 250g butter

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1 cup flour

  • 2 tsps baking powder (optional)

  • 1 cup oats, almond meal or hazelmeal

  • 2 tsps cinnamon

  • 1tsp vanilla essence

  • 1 apple, beetroot, pear or carrot

  • 1 cup sultanas, dates, dried apricots or nuts of choice

  • 2 eggs

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius

  2. Melt butter and honey in a pan.

  3. Place all dry ingredients in a bowl.

  4. Stir in melted butter and honey

  5. Add egg and mix well.

  6. Place into a 20 x 15cm oven tray

  7. Cook for 20 minutes.

  8. Leave to cool for 15 minutes before cutting into squares
